Back in the '90s, John came very close to opening a coffee house in the ski town of Girdwood, Alaska, and it has been in the back of his mind ever since. Fate got in the way, and other businesses took priority, but we're excited to finally open Elijah Bleu's in downtown Truckee, where we can blend John's southern roots with our passion for great coffee and espresso.

Growing up in South Georgia, John's daily diet consisted of traditional southern dishes like grits, black-eyed peas, okra, and farm fresh meats. We've tried to retain much of these amazing southern ingredients, while adding a healthy, organic twist to create an eclectic menu sure to please all tastes. From the southern-inspired paintings and décor to the menu and music, you're bound to feel a little southern when you stroll into Elijah Bleu's.
